Kier Places are recruiting today for an Electrician, where your role will be key to supporting the delivery of a Facilities Management Hard & Technical Services solution for our prestigious client, Bexley Schools, South East London. You will be providing planned & reactive maintenance with an Electrical bias in school buildings at Welling School & Bexleyheath Academy.
The successful candidate for this role must be a Level 3 Qualified Electrician (i.e. NVQ/City & Guilds) with 18th Edition qualification, be Inspect & Test (2391) qualified, with previous experience in a similar role within Building Services or Facilities Management. It would be a bonus if you have PASMA/IPAF certification.
The job will involve completing quoted works of Electrical nature, e.g. lighting and power installation works, re-lamping of fittings and general repair, socket replacement and other repairs or installations. This will also require testing and certification of all works in accordance with NICEIC regulations.
As a focused and reactive Electrician, you will deliver a combination of electrical and building fabric planned (PPM), reactive and extra works engineering services specialising in electrical disciplines, within school facilities. You will be assisting in ensuring Kier deliver a safe, customer focused, cost effective, efficient and compliant service in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
There is no call-out or standby rota for this role, and overtime may be available if required.
